Firefox 3 provides users with a notification for available updates to the installed extensions, however this does not work all the time and the update check is done only at periodic intervals.

If you are looking to manually find updates for extensions installed in Firefox you can easily do it by following the simple steps.

Step 1 – Open Extension Manager: The first step to check for available updates for add-ons is to open the extension manager in Firefox, to do open add-ons by going to the tools menu and clicking on the Add-ons option. Alternatively you can also use the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + A to open the add-ons manager.

Step 2 – Click On The Find Updates Button: Once you have opened the add-ons manager, click on the Find updates button to check the Firefox add-ons repository for available updates.

Step 3 – Click on Install Updates: If there are any available updates you can click on the Install Updates button to install them.

Step 4 – Restart Firefox: Once the updates have been installed you will have to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

Note: We discourage users from using keywords in their names while posting comments, most of them get caught by spam, also it really would be more fruitful in knowing people who comment by their real name, rather than by using a name no one relates to. In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
